As a young child, I always answered the favorite question of “what do you want to be when you grow up?” with the answer of “veterinarian,” but it wasn’t until my childhood dog, Sandy, experienced a life-threatening illness that it really clicked with me as my career of choice. Watching the care and attention that both the doctors and technicians poured into caring for both Sandy and my family, I realized that I wanted to be a part of a team that provides medical expertise, TLC and compassion to both the pet and human family members.
I have always had at least one dog and cat family member and at times, smaller creatures like gerbils and rats. Currently, the four-footed members of my family consist of two cattle dogs named Daphne and Oscar, and a mischievous feline named Marvin. They keep life interesting and are entertaining companions for my young daughter. My favorite hobbies to help unwind are hiking, knitting, and running.
I am so excited to be joining the team at Heart & Soul Urgent Care and to be able to provide care for your four (or sometimes three!) legged family members.
