4. Core values
I started in the kennel at a small GP practice in 2006. I quickly realized there was no going back and I worked in the field for another 5 years before going to Portland Community College to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. I graduated in 2013 and went into Surgery Specialty for 3yrs and then Emergency Medicine. Emergency Medicine is in my heart and soul.
My favorite animal is the Slow Loris. They are deceptively cute. You think they like to be tickled when they stretch their little arms up for you, but really they are mixing up the little poison in their armpits!
My veterinary super power is putting the patients above all else. “What’s good for the goose is good for the gander”. It is through our patients that I provide for myself. Our patients give me the life I have, and I strive to return the favor.
Best food: steamable bags of frozen veggies. Low maintenance, quick and keeps the gut right so I can be at my best.
Core values: love, in all its various expressions. Hard work, empathy, compassion and taking the time to look at each patient, knowing they are a soul deserving of my all.
